SAT is a standardized test generally taken for admission to colleges. It has been through significant changes in recent years, particularly with the beginning of the digital SAT format. This blog will take you from the very basics of the SAT to its digital format and the subjects in testing, the schedules of the test, and its importance for top universities in the U.S. and India.
Let’s have a look at:
Okay, let’s look at these closer.
The SAT, formerly called the Scholastic Assessment Test, is a standardized test administered by high school students as part of the selection process for college. It measures the skills of the candidate in literacy and writing, apart from math skills, through which colleges can have an even, common data point for comparison of applicants’ qualifications.
Starting in 2024, the SAT has also gone digital. What does that mean? The test is now more accessible and user-friendly. There are some significant advantages offered by the new system: the testing period is shorter, and the test can be taken with your laptop or tablet.
The SAT is administered by the College Board multiple times a year. In the US, it is typically offered in August, October, November, December, March, May, and June. International test dates, including those in India, may vary slightly.
