UK immigration rules require the University to sponsor your application for a student visa. You will need a CAS number to apply for a visa to allow you to study in the UK. Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) is a very important document if you are planning to study in the UK. Your institution will send a unique reference number which is your CAS. You must mention this reference number on the Tier 4 visa application form.
